Engineering Services
Although the City of Kimberley does not have a Professional Engineer on staff, we do have an engineering department with Certified Technologists or Technicians.
The Engineering Department offers many services including but not limited to; mapping, surveying, inspection services, and record keeping.
The City of Kimberley utilizes many different software packages with most of the mapping using Auto Cad Map. Some of the electronic mappings available through the engineering department or on-line are as follows:
· Utility mapping
· Streets and roads
· City composites
· Zoning
· Land ownership
· Recreational areas
· Bylaws
Virtually all aspects of the Engineering Department are computerized. Databases are used to keep track of infrastructure, roads and sidewalks, cemeteries, complaints, mapping, and general record keeping.
