Kimberley has  beautiful natural attractions and over 100 kilometres of multi-use trails from which to access and enjoy them.  At 800 hectares, our Nature Park  is one of the largest municipal parks in Canada and features a diverse landscape of hills, ridges, valleys and plateaus. A stroll through the picturesque pedestrian-only Platzl shopping area brings you to delightful boutiques and restaurants.  In the southernmost area of town is Marysville with its own unique mainstreet shops and restaurants.  Kimberley also hosts a variety of festivals including Julyfest, Arts on the Edge, The Kimberley International Old Time Accordion Championships and the Bootleg Sled Dog Races, to name a few.

Kimberley has maintained a friendly, small town atmosphere. The people who live here demonstrate great community spirit with their active volunteerism and participation in community festivals and events. Outdoor enthusiasts can participate in a wide variety of recreation opportunities in Kimberley and the surrounding area including world-class skiing at the Kimberley Alpine Resort and on the Nordic trail system, fishing in the many mountain lakes, streams, and rivers, river rafting, cycling, mountain biking, hiking the Purcell or Rocky Mountains or golfing one of Kimberley’s three championship golf courses. There are natural hot springs in the local area and the community has a new Aquatic Centre as well as a full complement of sports, recreational and cultural programs for all ages.
